SAYS DAUGHTERS CAUSE TROUBLE
---------------------
Husband Doesn't Want Divorce, Only Seeks Removal of Children
---------------------
Instead of his being guilty of extreme cruelty towards his wife, as alleged in Grace M. Mumaugh's complaint for a divorce from Charles Mumaugh, filed in the Superior Court, the husband states in his answer that the two grown daughters of his wife by a former marriage had been largely responsible for their marital troubles.
Mumaugh says that his stepdaughter Madge has been particulary active in stirring up strife in his mome, in that she has constantly engaged in mean and sarcastic remarks to and concerning hime and has caused motst of the trouble between him and his wife. He said that on one occasion Madge gathered up his clothing and threw it out upon the back steps with the angry remark that he need not think that he was going to feather his nest in that house and then tried to drive him away.
REFUSED ADMITTANCE
After he and his wife separated, Mumaugh says he called upon her one day and was refued admittance to the house by Madge, who told him his wife did not want to see me. He replied, "This is what you say. You said once before that she was out of town and that it was none of my business, now suppose she was in Sacramento with some other man, wouldn't it be some of my business?" To which Madge made spiteful reply.
Mumaugh declared that with Madge and the other daughter eliminated he and his wife could live together in pease and happiness. He does not want a divorce. All he is seeking is to get rid of the stepdaughters; then he believes he can fix up all the differences which exist between him and Mrs. Mumaugh.

SHE HAD PROPERTY; HUSBAND LOAFED
When Charles Mumaugh discovered that Grace Mumaugh owned property which brough her an income of $27 a month, he immediately had a falling out with work, according to the wife's testimony in the Superior Court through which she has obtained an interlocutory decree on the ground of failure to provide. Mrs Mumaugh told the court that her husband derenerated into a worthless loafer after he learned that she had title to real estate.
