Notes:
Daughter of Mathew Pettingill Morse, of Haverhill, Massachusetts (whose family were Sons of the Revolutions), and Emily P. Morse. Her father was a travelling farmer, and later an Aetna Life Insurance Worker in California. Sister of Frank Forrester Morse and Mary Teuscher.
Married Alban Caulfield in San Francisco in 1877, and had daughters Elsie and Theresa Madge. They were active with churches in Oakland and San Francisco, and passed on their talent and love for music to their daughters. After Alban's death, Grace married contractor Charles Mumaugh. The marriage ended in a very public divorce shortly before her death.
