STONE MOUNTAIN, GA - Laura Belle Johnson Mumma, 99, widow of retired c/wo Paul Edward Mumma, died March 2, 2013, at her Assisted Living residence, Arbor Terrace, Decatur, Georgia. Born August 19, 1913, in Hampton, Va., she was the daughter of the late Albert Benjamin Johnson and the late Christine Mormon Campbell Johnson. She was a homemaker, and a volunteer for over twenty years at Langley Air Force Base Hospital, Hampton, Va. Laura Belle was an active charter member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Hampton, Va. She was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and was stationed at a variety of assignments with her husband across the years. She always said there was no place for her like her beloved Hampton. Surviving are two daughters, Dr. Paula M. Reeves (Don) of Stone Mountain, Ga. and Ruth Evelyn Blascak (Bernie) of Manning, SC; six grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren, and eight great, great grandchildren. Interment in Saint John's episcopal Cemetery is being handled by Hayden Smith funeral Home. A memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
