Marie L. Elslager, 85, of 174 E. New St., Mountville, died of natural causes Monday at St. Anne's Home, Columnbia.
Mrs. Elslager worked for Hamilton Watch Co.from 1934 to 1949.
She was a member of Trinity Reformed United Church of Christ, Mountvill
A 1934 graduate of Columbia High School, she also was a member of the first Girl Scout Troop to be organized in Lancaster County, Troop 1 in Mountville, in 1925.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of Mabel E. Mumma Chillas and the late Anthony G. Gable.
Her husband, Cleon M. Elslager, died in 1995.
Surviving besides her mother are a daughter, Linda, married to William Metzger of Mountville; two grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and a brother, Donald Gable of Lancaster:
