The existance of Lydia Mumma was discovered by Pamela Mumma while examining Pennsylvania death certificates which contained the MUMMA surname. Lydia had not been previously identified or attached to any family tree.

Lydia has not been discovered in the 1870 census. Michael, her son is living with his MUMMA grandparents in Adams County, PA, and her other son, Abram Plum is living with the Samuel Hoover family in Letterkenny, Franklin, Pennsylvania. There is no known relationship with this Hoover family. Her other son, Moses and her husband, Michael have not been found. In the 1880 census, her husband Michael is lised as being widowed. I suspect that Lyda died between the 1860 and 1870 census.
