William P. Mullen 70, of Harrisburg, entered into rest, Friday, February 20, 2015.
Mr. Mullen was born in Harrisburg and was the son of the late Melvin and Faye (Mumma) Mullen, Sr. He was retired from American Airfilter in 2009, where he was a machinist. He was a member of the Robert H. Hoke American Legion Post 272 of Linglestown, where he was a member for 40 years and Commander twice. He was also a member of the Penbrook American Legion, Sons of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council 869 and the NRA. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving with the U.S. Army, 82nd Division Airborne, Green Beret, Paratrooper.
Mr. Mullen is survived by his daughter, Michele A. Mullen of Harrisburg; his sons, Thomas J. Mullen of Harrisburg and Ty Mullen of Carlisle; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Patricia Seibert of Pensacola, Fla. and Evelyn (Larry) Putt of Camp Hill; his brothers, Melvin E. (Thelma) Mullen, Jr. of Duncannon and Kenneth A. Mullen of Carlisle.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at 12 Noon, at the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., 6011 Linglestown Rd., Harrisburg. Deacon Sam Selvey will be officiating. Burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, with Full Military Honors.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 11 A.M. to 12 Noon, at the funeral home, prior to the service.
