Carol Kay Adams (Kay), 74, of Gladstone, Mo., passed away December 30, 2015, following a seven month battle with cancer. Visitation will be 12 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, with service following at 2 p.m. Carol Kay Mumma was born Nov. 23, 1941, in Dighton, Kan., and graduated from North Kansas City High School. She married her husband, Alan, on Dec. 2, 1962, and had three daughters. She was a charter member of Meadowbrook United Methodist Church. Kay spent her life caring for others, from raising her three daughters, running an in-house daycare, watching her grandchildren, assisting with the church preschool, and caring for her aging mother. The Lord is now caring for her. Kay was preceded in death by her daughter, Janel Annette Adams, and her parents. Kay is survived by her spouse of 53 years, Alan Adams, two daughters, Linda (Scott) Low of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kathy (Bob) Zollmann of Liberty, Mo., 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Ashley, Trey and Mikala Angstadt, Megan Nowrouzi, Ashley McConnell, Melynda Byrd, Brad and Casey Zollmann, Mackenzie Moore, Nicole and Austin Throckmorton, Kaden Low, seven great grandchildren, three brothers, Gary (Sarah) Mumma, Michael (Linda) DeMent and Dan (Chris) Mumma and sister, Vickie (John) James.
