"Death at Kissel Hill. Clementine M., wife of Jerome L. Baker, of Kissel Hill, was found dead in bed at half past five o'clock on Tuesday morning. Dr. Witmer of Neffsville was called and found that life had been extinct for several hours, and that death was due to a stroke. Her husband had arisen at 8:30 that morning, believing that his wife was sleeping. She had not been in good health for three years, dating back to the time when she had a severe attack of blood-poisoning. Her age was 57 years, 3 months and 4 days. Her maiden name was Yost, and she was born in Warwick township. She had been married for twenty six years. For the first twelve years of her married life she resided with her husband at Rothsville, after which they became residents of Kissel Hill. Besides her husband she is survived by two children ? William, at home and Clara, wife of John Forney, of Neffsville; also five brothers and three sisters, viz: Isaac and John Yost, of Ephrata; Noah and William, Warwick township; George Yost, of Eden; Mrs. Jason Cruthers, of Lancaster; Mrs. George Erb, of Bird-in-Hand, and Mrs. William Leber, of Ephrata. There also remains one step-brother, Henry Yost, of Baumgardner. The funeral will be held on Friday morning, with services at the home at 9:30 o'clock and at the Kissel Hill church at 10 o'clock. Interment will be made in Machpelah cemetery. Rev. Geo. D. Clarke will officiate."
