Charles W. Burkholder, 81
WASHINGTONVILLE ? Charles W. Burkholder, 81, died at 1 a.m. Friday at the Essex of Salem No. 2.
He was born on Dec. 8, 1927 in Freedom Station, to the late Charles W. and Pearl (Mumma) Burkholder Sr. He had been a resident of the Mahoning Valley all his life.
He was a 1945 graduate of Freedom High School, and the retired owner of Chuck B. Auto Sales in Youngstown.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, the former Joan Fox, whom he married on June 5, 1948; a daughter, Anne Blandford of Columbus; a son, David Burkholder of Salem; a sister, Gloria Loewen of Norman, Okla.; and two grandsons, Ronald Reesh and Eric Blandford.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Gibbs and Grace Thompson.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services at this time.
A private burial will be held at the Drakesburg Cemetery.
