Marguerite Malcolm Sheffer, 84, of Staunton, died Friday (January 6, 2017) in Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born December 2, 1932 in Augusta County, she was a daughter of William Pleasant Malcolm and Clara Amanda (Brake) Malcolm. Prior to retirement, she was employed as secretary for Staunton Paint and Wallpaper for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Calvin Curtis Sheffer; four brothers, Martin, Richard, Frank, and Samuel Malcolm; and a grandson, Daniel Sheffer. Surviving are four children, Calvin Curtis Sheffer, Jr. and wife Debra of Mt. Sidney, Teresa Lynn Sheffer of Staunton, Dwight Patrick Sheffer of Staunton, and Mary Jane Moomaw and husband Kevin of Waynesboro; a sister, Juanita Huffer of Bridgewater; a special sister-in-law and friend, Lucille Malcolm of Delta, Pa.; a special nephew, Doug Malcolm; four grandchildren, Thomas Jacob Sheffer and wife Mandy, Katherine "Maggie" Sheffer, Andrew Moomaw and wife Allison, and Shane Moomaw; and three great-grandchildren, Atlas Sheffer, Emilya Sheffer, and Nolan Moomaw.
A private graveside service will be held in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Unit 2 nursing staff of Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their kindness and care.
