Notes:
Julia Agnes Mumaw, 104, of Dearth, Pa., passed away Thursday, November 15, 2007, in her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born February 16, 1903, in West Leisenring, Pa., daughter of the late John Phillips and Elizabeth Kolofsky Phillips.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Mumaw, two daughters, Vivian Mumaw and Laverne, in infancy, brothers and sisters, John, Steve, Anna, Andrew, Mary Elizabeth, Pauline and Joseph; stepmother, Susan Dikant and her daughter, Margaret Hvizdos, whom she helped raise.
Julia was a member of St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem.
She is survived by her son, John "Rusty" Mumaw and wife, Mary Kaye of Dearth, her beloved cat, Sneakers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, New Salem, Pa., on Sunday, November 18, 2007, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Monday, November 19, 2007, until 9:30 a.m. when prayers will be said in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Procopius Roman Catholic Church, New Salem, Pa., at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Father Peter Peretti as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
Parish Wake Service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
