YORK Nancy M. (Wagner) Alfano, 82, died July 21, 2014, at York Hospital. She was the wife of L. Joseph Alfano. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Nov. 24, 2014. Born August 25, 1931, in Hanover, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie (Fry) Wagner. Nancy was a graduate of William Penn Senior High School in York. She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening. She served her church, Luther Memorial Church, on the Altar Guild and as a member of the choir. In addition to her husband, Nancy is survived by two sons, Steven of Cape May, N.J. and Larry and his wife Judy of Mansfield, Ohio; grandsons, Brad and his wife Stephanie of Dallastown, Bryan of Dover and Andrew of Ipswich, Mass.; granddaughters, Chelsea of Ipswich, Mass., Katie Cline of Trenton, Mich. and Kelly Cline of Columbus, Ohio; great-grandchildren, Jordan Miller and Brianne Alfano of Dallastown and Alyssia and Anthony Alfano of Dover; and a brother, Richard Wagner of Murrysville. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014 at Luther Memorial Church, 1907 Hollywood Drive, York, PA 17403 with Pastor Elizabeth Polanzke officiating. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the church.
