Ramona L. Lavelle - October 11, 1929 - January 15, 2018
Sacramento, CA (formerly of Wenatchee, WA)
Ramona L. Lavelle was born in Wenatchee, WA, the third child of Arthur Ernest
Burke and Elsie Alpharetta Lopeman. Ramona was raised in the
Wenatchee/Stratford and Ephrata, WA, area. Her first husband was Donald C.
Mumma. She married Daniel J. Lavelle, August 2, 1949. Dan and Ramona lived a
number of years in Seattle, WA, before moving to Sacramento, CA, in 1966. She
obtained a BA in Social Science at California State University, Sacramento, in
1973. She was employed by Episcopal Community Services as Executive Director,
until she retired in 1991. She then enjoyed working part-time at Barnes and
Noble.
Ramona was predeceased by her parents; and siblings: Avaloe Burke Shepherd and
Ernest Euel Burke. She is survived by her oldest son, Kent (Jo) Mumma of
Spokane, WA; and grandsons: Ryan (Kylie) Mumma of Spokane, WA, and Kyle (Kara)
of Portland, OR. She is also survived by daughter, Danalee Marie Lavelle, and
younger son, Robert C. Lavelle, both of Sacramento, CA.
A Celebration of Mass will be held Friday, March 2, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at
St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, 4325 Don Julio Blvd., North
Highlands, CA, 95660. Memorial contributions in Ramona?s memory can be made to
the Building Fund, St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, 4325 Don Julio
Blvd., North Highlands, CA, 95660, Attn: Father Isnardo Serrano.
