Notes:
John Paul Jones Jr., 93, of Mt. Jackson, died Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock.
Mr. Jones was born July 28, 1925 in Mt. Jackson, son of the late John Henry and Lula Ellen Moomaw Jones.
He was a service man for Vehrencamp's in Mt. Jackson and was a retired electrician at Aileen Inc. in Edinburg.
He was a founding member of the Massanutten Antique Tractor Club and Conicville Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Conicville.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Elizabeth Dellinger Jones, whom he married March 31, 1946.
Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Mumaw (David) of Edinburg; one son, Randy Jones (Sharon) of Mt. Jackson; six grandchildren, John Jones, Jennifer Johns, Sarah Jones, Jeremy Jones, Paul Mumaw, and Cody Mumaw; and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, Gary Jones; and a brother, Norval Jones.
The funeral will be held Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with Pastor Bobby Whetzel officiating. Burial will follow in Christ United Church of Christ Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Showman, Billy Green, Ronnie Perron, Billy Mumaw, Otis Ryman, and Randy Fadely.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
