Sara E. Shaffer, 80, a resident of Caledonia Manor, Fayetteville and formerly of 146 Lincoln Way West, Chambersburg, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 1998 in Caledonia Manor.
Born Dec. 15, 1917 in Shirleysburg, she was a daughter of the late Boyd and Frances E. Harry Clendening.
Mrs. Shaffer was retired from Knouse Foods, Peach Glen. She also worked as a nurses aide at Caledonia Manor and Piney Mountain.
She was the widow of Robert Shaffer.
Survived by two sons, Herb E. Coy of Chambersburg; Richard A. Coy of Walnut Bottom; three daughters, Rosetta E. Tucker of Chula Vista, Calif; Doris J. Etter of Palm Coast, Fla.; and Nancy L. Angst of Athens, Ga.; one sister, Helen L. Heckman of Chambersburg; 13 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg with the Bishop Roger Miller and Elder Michael Cox officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Shippensburg.
Visitation will be at the funeral home one hour prior to the services Tuesday.
