In the 1900 census the family is living in Davis twp, Tucker County, WV. Noah is a day laborer. It lists Mary's place of birth as California which does not seem correct. It further lists her father's place of birth also as California.
In the 1910 census, the children are living with their paternal grandparents in Keedysville, Washington County, Maryland
