Second of three children born to Dr. Henry and Malinda Mumaw. Brother of Phoebe Kolb and Clara Unzicker. Married Hattie Kronk in Chicago in April 1903. Died at age 41 in a hotel fire in Huntington, West Virginia, while on a business trip.
