Married Marion Edward Mumaw on August 26, 1932. They had four children before divorcing. Mary then married Rudolph Kauffman Hess in late 1949. He died in May 1950 as the result of a farming accident.

ALLIANCE---Mrs. Mary Jane Hess, 48, of 132 S. Seneca St., died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Alliance City Hospital after an illness of one day.
Born in Leetonia, March 11, 1911 she was the daughter of Jerome and Viola Nile Eagleton.
She lived in Alliance for the past five years, and was a member of the Alliance Baptist Temple.
Her second husband, Rudolph Hess, died in 1952 (sic), and a daughter Delores Mumaw died in 1958.
Survivors include two sons, Harold Mumaw of Goshen, Ind., and Richard Mumaw, address unknown; one daughter, Mrs. William Curran of Alliance; three brothers, Jerome Eagleton of Salem, John Eagleton of Columbiana and Arthur Eagleton of Leetonia; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Piersol of Elwood City, Pa., and Mrs. Ann Beiling of Leetonia; and two grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at the Cassady-Turkle Funeral Home on Wednesday at 1 p.m. in charge of the Rev. Lawrence Oney, pastor of the Baptist Temple.
Burial will be in Oakdale cemetery in Leetonia.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.

LEETONIA---Services for Mrs. Mary Jane Hess of Alliance, will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Cassaday & Turkle Funeral Home in Alliance by the Rev. Lawrence Oney. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery here.
