BROADWAY - Chester Yoder Mumaw, 61, passed away Dec. 3, 2009, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg following a brief illness. A native of Newport News, he was a resident of Pleasant View Home in Broadway.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Dec. 13, at Warwick River Mennonite Church in Newport News. Burial will be private.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant View in care of Warwick River Mennonite Church.

Chester Yoder Mumaw, 61, of Lee High Residence in Broadway, died December 3, 2009 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 2, 1948 in Newport News and was a son of the late Clare Laverne and Edith M. Yoder Mumaw.
He had worked at Shenandoah Growers and Friendship Industries. He was a member of Warwick River Mennonite Church in Newport News and attended Zion Mennonite Church near Broadway. He competed in the Special Olympics.
He was survived by a brother; John D. Mumaw of Harrington, DE, and a sister-in-law; Anna Jo Mumaw of Newport News.
His body was cremated.
A memorial service will be held December 12 at 2pm in Harrisonburg at the Pleasant View Regional Center, 151 Commerce Drive.
