Madonna E. Elbert, 97, formerly of Assumption, died January 10, 2012 (4:30 a.m.) in Avow Hospice, Naples, Florida.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption with Rev. Tom Compton officiating.
Visitation will be one hour before service time also in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, Illinois.
Madonna was born December 28, 1914 in Gladewater, Texas, the daughter of Henry Oliver and Merna (Isley) Moomaw.
She married Gail L. Elbert on August 16, 1931 in Stewardson, Illinois. He preceded her in death on May 28, 1979.
Madonna was a former member of Assumption United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her daughter Carolyn and husband Victor Camp of Bonita Springs, Florida; grandchildren Lindsey Schultz, Jonathan Camp, Sheri Wall, Kristi Silvestre, Mike Elbert, and Richard Elbert;12 great-grandchildren; sister Wanda M. Pfau of Fargo, ND; daughter-in-laws Beverly Elbert and Daisy Elbert.
Preceding her in death are her husband, sons Kenneth and Keith, parents, two brothers and two sisters.
