Marion M. Mumaw Dies at Daughter's Home in New Castle
Marion Melville Mumaw, 71, died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joe Hagans, New Castle, at 9:20 p.m. Friday following a lingering illness from complications.
Born Feb. 10, 1867, at Lima, Mr. Mumaw was the son of Jacob and Elizabeth Mumaw. He was united in marriage to Cena Mizer, who preceded him in death a number of years ago. To this union were born three children, Mrs. Stella Hagans, at whose home he died, Bertha Strouse, Walhonding, and Chester Mumaw, Mt. Vernon.
He later married Ada Davis, who also preceded him in death. Two children, Harry Mumaw, Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Hazel Heaps, Hubbard, Ohio, were born to this union.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. William Shannon, Mrs. Letitia Bolton and J. D. Mumaw, all of Coshocton, Mrs. Clyde Mitchell, Mansfield, John and Samuel Mumaw, Tiverton.
The funeral procession will leave the home of the daughter at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, with services at 2 p.m. at the Tiverton Disciple church in charge of Rev. John Proper. Burial will be in the Tiverton cemetery.
