Samuel David Mumaw, 81, retired farmer, died at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at his home in Tiverton after a short illness.
He was born in Lima, Ohio on Nov. 6, 1869, a son of Jacob and Elizabeth Kent Mumaw and was married in 1893 to Margaret Durbin, who survives with three sons, Lester of Ashland, Floyd of Mansfield and Walter of the home; one daughter, Martha of Cleveland, Tennessee; two sisters, Mrs. Letitia Bolton, Coshocton and Mrs. Clyde Mitchell of Ashland; one brother, J.D. Mumaw, Coshocton; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sat. at the Tiverton Church of Christ with Rev. LeRoy A. Moyer in charge. Burial will be in the Tiverton Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw after 7 p.m. Thursday until noon Saturday and at the Tiverton Church from 1-2 p.m. -- The Coshocton Tribune, November 9, 1950
