BELTON, TX Services for Veronica A. "Ronnie" Moomaw, 73, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dossman Funeral Home in Belton. A private family burial will follow.
Mrs. Moomaw died July 5, 2004, at a Temple hospital. She was born April 23, 1931, in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of William and Teresa M. Peel-Talley.
Mrs. Moomaw was raised and educated in Philadelphia. She married George C. Moomaw June 12, 1948, in Pennsylvania, and they moved to Texas in 1963. He preceded her in death Jan. 10, 2004. Mrs. Moomaw lived at Morgan's Point Resort for 38 years. "Gramps," as she was affectionately known by her family, was a homemaker and a child care provider. Survivors include three sons, Ronald Moomaw of Killeen, Kevin Moomaw of Austin, Dennis Moomaw of Morgan's Point Resort; two daughters, Juanita "Chickie" Kelly of Killeen; a brother, Harmon "Butch" Talley of Florida; a sister, Virginia "Ginny" Schwoyer of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Mrs. Moomaw was also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Moomaw, on Feb. 18, 1972; a brother, William T. Peel; and two sisters, Teresa Cavannaugh and Elizabeth DeGenaro.

She is survived by her children, Ronald Moomaw of Killeen,TX Juanita ``Chickie' Kelly of Killeen, Kevin Moomaw of Austin,TX Dennis Moomaw of Morgan's Point. The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Fund. 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
