Mrs. Rosalee M. McNeal, 90, of New Market, passed away Thursday morning, May 3, 2018 at TimberView Crossing in Timberville.
She was born October 12, 1927 in New Market and was the daughter of the late Eddie J. and Mary Funkhouser Moomaw.
Rosalee was a devoted and active member of St. Martin Lutheran Church, west of New Market, where she served as organist for almost 30 years, taught the Adult Sunday School class, and was a life member of the Lutheran Church Women.
She was a former member of the New Market High School Alumni Association.
She retired after 21 years as a teacher's assistant in Shenandoah County Public Schools.
In 1944 she married Austin McNeal, who passed away in 2004.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Golladay and husband Gary, and Sue Foltz and her husband Bob; a brother, Dwight Moomaw and his wife Ernestine; a granddaughter, Michele Getz and her husband Roger; and two great grandchildren, Austin and Owen Getz.
Pastor Jeffrey Sonafelt will conduct a funeral service at 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Martin Lutheran Church. The family will receive friends an hour before the service at the church. Interment will be in Zirkle Cemetery, west of New Market.
The family would like to thank the staff at TimberView Crossing Assisted Living and Sentara Hospice for the special care and love given to our Mom and Nanny during the past six months.

Friends may call at Theis Funeral Chapel in New Market after 10 a.m. Friday.
