Lois Moomaw Quigley, 75, formerly of Florence, died Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001, at her
home in Huntsville.Mrs. Quigley owned and operated Shoals Florist and Gifts in
Florence for 35 years, starting in 1956.A native of Lauderdale County, she was
the daughter of the late Edward Dee and Beulah Reid Moomaw.She was married Dec.
26, 1947, to Gene Quigley, who survives.In addition to her husband, she is
survived by a daughter, Linda Quigley, Nashville; a son, Brooks Quigley,
Atlanta; a brother, Fielder Moomaw; and three sisters, Pearl Holland, Evelyn
Wilkes and Lillian Murphy, all of Florence; nieces and nephews.The funeral will
be at 4 p.m. today at Greenview Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in
Greenview Cemetery. Officiating will be longtime friends Ed Gosa, District Judge
of Lamar County, and Derrel Davis, former minister of Petersville Church of
Christ. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for two hours before
the service.The family suggests that any memorial gifts be made to Hospice
