Ricky Lance Wilkes of Hazel Green passed away Saturday in Huntsville. He was 56.
Ricky was a native of Florence and a resident of Madison County for over 19 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn S. Wilkes of Hazel Green; three daughters, Christy Butler of Killien, Cassie Burnett of Florence, and Stacy St. Clair of Meridianville; a special aunt, Pearl Holland of Florence; his uncle, Fielder Moomaw; five grandchildren; and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lon Ostrsycki officiating. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery in Hazel Green.

Ricky Lance Wilkes, 56, of Hazel Green, died Saturday, Jan. 22, at Crestwood Hospital, Huntsville.
Rick was a native of Florence, Ala., and had lived in Madison County for 19 years. He was a graduate of Coffee High School and the University of North Alabama. He was the son of the late Dalton and Evelyn Moomaw Wilkes. His brother, Byron Wilkes, of Florence, died in 2009.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn S. Wilkes, of Hazel Green; daughters, Christy Butler, Killen, Cassie Burnett, Florence, and Stacy St. Clair, Meridianville; a special aunt, Pearl Holland, Florence, and uncle, Fielder Moomaw, Florence; five grandchildren and a number of cousins.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Berryhill Funeral Home, 2305 Memorial Parkway N.W., Huntsville. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in Berryhill Chapel, with the Rev. Lon Ostrsycki officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery in Hazel Green.
Pallbearers will be Mitch Holland, Joel Murphy, Brooks Quigley, Sammy Johnson, Michael Roberts and Jeffrey Billions.
