Edgar and Kathryn were married at the home of Rev. O. B. Lawless, at St. Joseph Buchanan County, Missouri. He was the same one that had married Kathryn's sister on the same day four years earlier. The minister was ill and performed the ceremony from his bed. He died a few days later.
Edgar died at the family home at 2212 Chicago Street in Trenton, Missouri after a lengthy bout with multiple myloma. Funeral services were held at the Liberty Chapel Christian Church, south of Trenton, with burial in the Stucker Cemetery east of the church, under the direction of the Davis-Blackmore Funeral Home.
Edgar and Kathryn farmed at several locations in Grundy and Livingston County, Missouri before moving to Trenton just prior to his death.
