This confirms that Artemisia's father was George Schlosser and that she likewise had a brother George B.
NOTE: Page County, VA was formed in 1831 out of Shenandoah and Rockingham counties. The above propertie were most likely located in what is today, Page County.

In a Page County History book was found where George Mumaw of Hamburg, Page Co. Va. applied for a license to keep a house of entertainment in 1832. Perhaps this is related to the above mortgages.
Shenandoah Co. Will Book 2, page 165, 182, and 183 as follows:
"George Muma gdn. for James H. Muma, Sarah Muma, Ambrose Muma and George C. Muma on 20 May 1850 went to Floyd Co. to get each of them $10 cash from their grandfather's estate. Recorded 14 Jan 1853 and 4 Mar 1853."
If George is a child of David and Barbara and they first moved to Shenandoah Co. Va. in 1807, then George would have been born in Pa. He was listed as age 50 on the 1850 Shenandoah Co. Va. census. [Note by Doug Mumma. It is speculative that David & Barbara moved to Shenandoah County in 1807. They may have moved there earlier than 1800. George's state of birth is listed as Virginia in the 1850, 1860 census.]
