Walter L. Mumma, Jr., 59, of Mount Aetna Road, Hagerstown, Ma., pased away Saturday, July 13, 2013,at Golden Living Center in Hagerstown. Born Oct. 17, 1953 in Hagerstown, he was the son of Betty J. (Suffecool) Mumma of Hagerstown and the late Walter L. Mumma, Sr. He was a graduate of Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Md. He was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church in Beaver Creek.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Debra Raines of Rockville, one sister, Robin Mumma of Baltimore, three nieces and one nephew. In addition to his father, he was preceeded in death by one brother, Gary Wayne Mumma.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at St. Paul's Cemetery in Clear Spring, Md., with Pastor Eric Moser officiating. Arrangements were made by J. L. Davis Funeral Home in Smithsburg, Md.
