Eli Mumma Dies, Owned Box Firm
Eli L. Mumma, 81, of 55 Main St., Landisville, died at Maple Farms Convalescent Homes at 11 p.m. Saturday after a brief illness. He had been a guest there for the past 18 months.
He was the husband of Mildred Kreider Mumma. He wa born in Landisville, a son of the late Eli B. and Ella Landis Mumma.
He was a member and past trustee of the Leacock Presbyterian Church, Paradise. He was the manager and part-owner of the Landisville Box and Shook Co. for many years. Wehn the company was sold to J.C. Snavely & Son, Inc. he continued as a manager of the Box division until his retirement.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Joe Landis Mumma; one daughter June K. Mummau, both of Landisville; two grandsons; and one sister, Ellen l. Mummau, Harrisburg.
