DONALD C. MUMMA went peacefully to be with our Lord July 4, 2004. He was born September 25, 1920 in Donnelsville, Ohio, the son of Frank and Hazel (Carson) Mumma. He served in the infantry during World War II. He retired from the New York Central Railroad as an Engineer. Don was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and a retired farmer. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign War (VFW) Post 11114 and Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Post 13. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary and is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Patricia Mumma of New Carlisle; one grandson, Jeff and wife Tia; two great-grandsons, Taylor and Baylor; one granddaughter Cindy and husband Dave Hillard; two reat-granddaughters; two sisters-in-law, Jane Johns and Sue Vollmer; a brother, Carl Mumma, special friend, Mary Berner; several nieces and nephews, and many friends at his local hang outs. Graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in New Carlisle Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Pike Township Fire & Rescue, 8440 Troy Road, P. O.
