Mrs. Paul R. Bear, 62, Abilene route 2, died Saturday afternoon at Memorial hospital. Mrs. Bear was born Aug. 11, 1899, at Oketa and came to Dickinson county with her parents as a child and lived southwest of Abilene. Later the family moved to the Chapman community and she attended the Chapman schools. She was married to Paul R. Bear Oct 11, 1917 and they moved to a farm southeast of Abilene where they continued to live.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Harmond of New York, Phillip of McLouth, Dale of New York; two daughters, Mrs. Pauline Pitts of Ulysses and Mrs. Verna Ottensmeier of Los Angeles; one brother, Will Kinney of Colorado Springs; four sister, Mrs. Will Horner of Abilene, Mrs. Myrtle Weaver of West VA., Mrs. Martha Erickson of Arizona and Mrs. Melinda Yorgenson of Hutchingons.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Danner Funeral home with the Rev. D.S. Wenger in charge. Burial will be in the Abilene cemetery.
