Listed in the 1850 census is an Elizabeth Strait, age 22. Is it possible that this woman would be the Elizabeth that George later married and had children with as listed in the 1870 census (Elizabeth age 43)? Highly suggestive at this point. No proof. If anyone has information please correct.
According to Ron Rose's file (McKee5 file) Elizabeth was born in 1827. He does not have her last name as Strait. Ron Rose's web site:
