TAMPA, Fla. - Eleanor Jean Mumma, 80, of Tampa, Fla., died Monday, Feb. 17, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital, Tampa.
She was born July 14, 1922, at Connersville, Ind., to Clarence and Clara Hinchman Simpson.
She lived with her daughter at Tampa for less than two months. She spent most of her life in Pittsburg.
She lived her early life at Glenwood, Ind., and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1940.
In 1942, she married Charles Mumma. He preceded her in death in June of 1982.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of Countryside Christian Church, Pittsburg.
Survivors include one daughter, Sue Elledge, of Tampa; two sons, Lyle Rickie Mumma, of Tampa, and Calvin Mumma, of Pittsburg; one brother, Bob Simpson, of Arlington, Ind.; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Dennis Mumma, in 2001; two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be 3:30 p.m. Friday at East Hill Shrine Mausoleum, Rushville, Ind., where entombment will take place. Visitation will be held at the East Hill Shrine Mausoleum briefly prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of Moster & Cox Mortuary, Rushville.
