Had short, curly hair as a child. She was restless and cried a lot. Her head was too large for her body - didn't know if she would live to six years of age - developed okay. "Funeral for Mrs. Davis to be Saturday Mrs. Clifford Davis, 31, of 728 Wellmeier av., formerly Miss Emma Kissinger, of Osborn, died at Miami Valley hospital at 2:30 Wednesday afternoon after an illness of several months. She was born near Osborn, Sept 2, 1887. She came to Dayton in 1905 with her parents. In 1907 she married Clifford Davis. Mrs. Davis was very active in the Parent-Teachers association. She was also treasurer of the Dayton Council, PTA and was state delegate of the council two successive years. She was also a member of Dayton lodge, Royal Neighbors of America. She also belonged to St. Mark's Lutheran church. Surviving her are her husband, Clifford Davis; her son, Robert Kissinger Davis; her sisters, Miss Mabel, Miss Ethel Kissinger and Mrs. W. J. Burns, and her father, S. W. Kissinger of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Saturday afternoon at St. Mark's Lutheran church on Linden Av. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery." -- May 14, 1925
