Private Private Union Ambrose was killed 23 Jun 1863. Both Charles and John applied for pensions while living in Missouri +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The bible lists he was killed at the "Battle of Wittfield" in June of 1863. A search of the regimental records suggests that both units were in the area of Fayetteville, WV during this time period. I was unable to identify this battle by that name. Possibly spelled wrong.
