She married first, at Middletown, John Monfort (3182-a), son of Francis and Eliza (Monfort) Monfort, born 20 Aug. 1826 in Monroe, 0.; grocer; Presbyterian; home in Middletown; d. 30 Dec. 1863; buried in Woodside Cemetery, Middletown. Secondly, 5 Apl. 1863 at Middletown, Marcellus Foote Waters(3182-b), son of William and Mary (Posey) Waters, born 4 Apl. 1829 in Clermont Co., 0.; farmer, grocer; Presbyterian; home in Pontiac, Ill., Des Moines, Ia.; died 22 Feb. 1903; buried in same cemetery as wife, Amelia. He had been married, - 1860 in Milton, Ind., to Hattie Hubbard(3182-b-a), of whom no further data are available. Monfort had been previously married to Margaret Reed(3182-a-a), daughter of Thomas Reed, near Middletown.

Amelia lived in Middletown during her widowhood. Her husband had his home in Milton, Ind., during the period of marriage. Marcellus is a brother of Charlotte Waters, the second wife of Thomas Kramer (31.11 -a), at whose home Amelia met him. The parents of John Monfort were not related before their marriage although both had the same surname.
