According to his marriage license, and the 1910 Federal Census. John Livingston Mumaw, was born in Iowa in 1869. Note by Doug Mumma. Several census show that he was born in Pennsylvania.
A Samuel J. Mumaw listed in the index of the Iowa 1870-1879 Federal Census. From family folk lore a son lived in Indiana and there was a daughter Agnes. John Livingston Mumaw came back to Penna. He married in Fayette County, Pa. worked for 30 years as an eng. for the H. C. Frick Coal and Coke Co. He died in 1943 in Fayette County, Pa.
John Livingston Mumaw married to Sarah Ellen Harrison, born Aug. 5, 1876 in Durham, England, (again these are my husbands maternal grandparents) and living in Hecla, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
