Shirley J. Mumma

Shirley J. Mumma, 69, of Linglestown, surrounded by her loving family, passed away on November 9th after a short battle with cancer. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was born September 27, 1934 in Harrisburg, PA, to the late Paul and Lavone Scott. The majority of her life was spent as a devoted housewife and mother. She enjoyed shopping, dining out, scrap booking, golf and most of all, spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Shirley was known for her kindness and generosity. She was filled with love and laughter and had a wonderful sense of humor. Even up to the time of her death, she unselfishly thought of her family and friends first.
She was married to the late Donald J. Mumma, Sr., who passed away on April 9, 2003.
She is survived by her two sons, Donald Joseph Mumma, husband to Janice of Harrisburg and Dennis Keith Mumma, husband to Tabitha of Lebanon; a daughter, Donnalee Joanne Leinbach, wife of Arthur of Linglestown; and 7 grandchildren, Michael Mumma of Harrisburg, Melissa Carolus of Thompsontown, Kyler Lee Leinbach of Linglestown and David, Brittney, Dominic and Carter of Lebanon. Also surviving are one sister, two brothers and several nieces and nephews.
A private Memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at St. Thomas United Church of Christ, Linglestown, with Pastor Donald Wetzel. There will be no viewing.
