MOMMA, LUELLA MAY
Daughter of Aaron and Eliza Jane Grant. She was born 9 Oct. 1865, in Bourbon, Marshall Co., IN. She came to Elk County, Kansas, with her parents settling near Howard, Kansas.
She was the youngest of four children, two dying in infancy. She was preceded in death by her parents and only brother, B. Stacy Grant who died 3 Dec. 1917. On 7 December 1886, she was united in marriage to Valentine Momma. Two children were born to this union, Nicholas A. and Mrs. Oliver Dickerson. She was a chartered member of the Order of Eastern Star chapter in Howard. In childhood she joined the First Baptist church of Vaparaiso, Indiana.
Mrs. Momma was cared for by her husband, and daughter, Mary. She was stricken with a fatal illness about a year ago and for the last three months has been bedfast. She passed away 14 Aug. 1937.
She is survived by her loving husband Valentine, a son Nicholas Momma, a daughter Mary Dickerson; and three grandchildren, Mary Margaret, Bobby and Nancy Ann Dickerson.
Services conducted by Harvey Hartman , pastor of the Howard Nazarene Church. Burial in Grace Lawn cemetery, Howard, Kansas.
