In the 1930 Census, there is an M. Morris, age 56 (b. 1874), listed as living with the family as Jerome's father. Jerome's father died in 1912, so possibly it was Marie's father, or some other member of the family. He was widowed and was first married at age 20 (abt. 1894). If he is a Morris, possibly he was another relative other than his father. Considering, the errors in this census record, it may simply be wrong.
