Janet L. Lyter 83, of Dauphin, died Thursday, August 22, 2013, at her home.
Mrs. Lyter was born in Linglestown and was the daughter of the late David and Eva (Boyer) Mumma. She was retired from the U.S. Postal Service, where she was a nurse, in Occupational Health. She was a member of the Stone Glen Church of God, where she was a Sunday School Teacher. She was a member of the Dauphin-Middle Paxton Historical Society and a former Girl Scout Leader.
Mrs. Lyter is survived by her husband, of 58 Years, Wayne A. Lyter; one Daughter, Lisa (Michael) Neely of Dauphin; Dr. David W. Lyter of Fla. and Mark Alan Lyter of Iowa; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great-Grandchildren; one Sister, Joanne Moltz of Columbia, MD; one Brother, Robert L. Mumma of Messiah Village. She loved her dog, Angie and had many good friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August, 27, 2013 at 11 A.M. at Stone Glen Church of God, 1030 Stoney Creek Road, Dauphin. The Rev. Sandra Baney, will be officiating. Burial will be in Dauphin Memorial Cemetery, Dauphin, at the convenience of the family.
Memorial Contributions may be made to Stone Glen Church of God, 1030 Stoney Creek Road, Dauphin, Pa. 17018 or to Bethesda Mission, 611 Reily Street, Harrisburg, Pa. 17102.
