Wayne A. Lyter 94, of Dauphin, died Thursday, December 17, 2015.
Mr. Lyter was born in Dauphin and was the son of the late Percy and Grace (Gilday) Lyter. He was retired as an insurance agent for Nationwide. He was a member of the Dauphin Middle Paxton Historical Society and the Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Dauphin. He was a veteran of WW II, serving with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Mr. Lyter was the widower of Janet Mumma Lyter, who died in 2013.
Mr. Lyter is survived by his daughter, Lisa (Michael) Neely of Halifax; his sons, Dr. David W. Lyter of Fla. and Mark Allan (Dana) Lyter of Iowa; his grandchildren, Aaron, Zachary, Cheyanne, Valarie, Wayne, Seth, Cain, RaeAnne and Jackson; three great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Dauphin Memorial Cemetery, Dauphin.
Arrangements are by the Hoover Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Harrisburg.
