Dorothy Bernice Mumma, 79, of Burnt Cabins, died Sunday, Aug. 30, at the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg, Pa. Born in Clear Ridge, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Howard M. and Daisy Fix. Her husband, Ira W. Mumma, died in 1986. She owned Dot's Restaurant in Shade Gap from 1965 until 1978. She was a charter member of the Burnt Cabins United Methodist Church. She was a charter member of Fulton Chapter 519 Order of Eastern Star in McConnellsburg. She is survived by one daughter, Betty Knowles of Virginia; two sons, James Mumma and Richard Mumma, both of Burnt Cabins; two brothers, Harold Fix of Pittsburgh, Pa.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was proceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home in McConnellsburg. The Rev. Marlin Neil will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in McConnellsburg. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. where Fulton Chapter 519 Order of Eastern Star will conduct a memorial service at 6:40 p.m. For the convenience of friends the doors to the funeral home will be open on Wednesday, from 2 to 9 p.m. Obit found in the FCHS Obituary listings, 2002
