Anna Sharpe Mumma
Anna Sharpe Mumma, wife of Harry C. Mumma passed away at her daughter's home in Hustontown, on Dec. 22, 1948, after a two week illness. The daughter of John and Ruth Strait Sharpe was born Aug. 11, 1873 in Licking Creek township. Besides her husband she is survived by four daughters and one son: Edith wife of George Strait, Peoria, Ill.; Grace Ryder of Merscersburg; Sharpe Mumma of Laidig; Sara wife of Merrill Brant now of Allen, Ky.; Edna wife of Willard Hess of Hustontown; one half brother, Edward Sharpe of Harrisonville; also 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Sipes Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 26, at 10:30 with the Rev. Forrest Stange, in charge. Interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery at Green Hill.
