His obituary reads:
H. Sharp Mumma, 92, formerly of Hustontown, died Sunday, October 9, 1994 in the Skilled Care Unit of the Fulton County Medical Center in McConnellsburg. Born July 2, 1902 in Pleasant Ridge, Fulton County he was the son of the late Harry C. and Annie Sharpe Mumma. His wife, Virgie Rouzer Mumma, died in 1988. He retired from K.G. Richards in McConnellsburg, where he was a truck driver. He is survived by two daughters, Audrey Shotts and Dorothy Miller, both of McConnellsburg; three son: John H. Mumma, Fort Littleton: Harry M. Mumma, Chambersburg and Benny S. Mumma, McConnellsburg; 12 grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter and four sisters. Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 12 at the Howard L. Sipes Funeral Home, Inc., Harrisonville. The Rev. Franklin Gray officiated, assisted by George Schmidt. Burial was made in Fairview United Methodist Cemetery in Hustontown. Obituary found in FCHS obituary file, 2002
