Her obituary reads:
MUMMA (hand written 1914)
On Saturday May 9th, at her home near Saxton, Bedford county, Mrs. Anna Pearle, wife fo Harvey Mumma, died. She was born May 23rd, 1885, hence her age was 28 years, 11 months, and 16 days. The young wife and mother had for a number of years been a sufferer from the dreaded disease tuberculosis which finally caused her death. She is a native of this county as is her husband, she being the oldest daughter of William Keebaugh, deceased, of Hustontown. In 1903 she was married to Mr. Mumma, to which union there were born four sons, all living and now motherless. The deceased was a loving wife and kind mother. She had many friends wherever she went and the sympathy of her acquaintences was a great element in her life. A few years ago she was taken to the White Pine Sanitorium at Mt. Alto, but received but little benefit, coming home she with her husband went into the mountains to try to prolong her life but as above noted came the end. She is survived by her husband and four sons, namely: Melvin, Marvin, Harold, and Raymond. She was at the time of her death a member of the M.E. church, at Hustontown. Her remains were brought to Hustontown, where funeral services were held in the church of her choice, conducted by Rev. McKech___e, Sunday evening, May 10th. Internment in the cemetery near by. She is also survived by her moth- (the article is cut off at this point.) Found in the FCHS Obituary File, 2002
