POMONA, Calif. -- Mary Ellen Blazier, 76, Montclair, Calif., died Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003, at a Pomona, Calif., hospital. She had pneumonia and heart problems.
She was born Sept. 4, 1926, on a farm in Fairfax Township in Osage County, Kan., to Sherman and Mary Ann Cell Shoup. She attended Topeka Public Schools.
Mrs. Blazier had been caregiver in Topeka and in Los Angeles area nursing homes and residences.
She married Joseph Theis. They divorced. She later married Robert L. Blazier. He survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert Loren Blazier Jr., at home, and William Albert Blazier, Fresno, Calif.; and a sister, Dorothy Shoup, rural Scranton, Kan.
Mrs. Blazier was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlot L. Theis-Blazier.
Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery in Whittier, Calif.
