Willard Allen "Bus" Younker, 70, Hagerstown, died Wednesday, April 15,1998 at Washington County Hospital. Born in Pectonville on October 28,1927, he was the son of the late John Verde and Hazel Virginia Shives Younker. He retired from Mack Trucks in 1986. He previously was employed by M S Johnson, Hershey Ice Cream and Breyers Ice Cream. He worked in the air conditioning and refrigeration field. A veteran of the U S Navy, he served during World War II and the Korean War. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of Joseph C Herbert Post 222 American Legion in Clear Spring, AARP, and Mack Ten Pin Bowling League. He was a hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Charlotte Mae Kline Younker; one daughter, Lisa Mumma, Clear Spring; one son, Steven Allen Younker, Big Pool; one sister, Fay Younker, Hancock; two brothers, Bruce O Younker, Hagerstown and Herbert E Younker, Clear Spring; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Gary Younker and Donald Younker. Services were held Saturday, April 18, at 2 PM at Albert L Leaf Memorial Chapel of Osborne Funeral Home, 425 S Conococheague St., Williamsport. The Rev C Walter Hock officiated. Burial was in Parkhead Cemetery in Big Pool, with military graveside services conducted by Joseph C Herbert Post 222 American Legion.
