The fact that Levi Franklin Mumma, b. 1873 had a child born out of wedlock in 1898 by Esther Streepy was confirmed by Levi's grandson, Franklin Levi Mumma, who still lives in Coalmont, IN. The grandson thought his grandfather was a full blooded Indian and had married the lady, but my research suggests that Levi and Esther never married.
